signs master agreement with Active for automation of Pharmaceutical
and Pharmochemical plants

Standing on it’s mission: “to offer more efficient,
safe and accessible medicines to population”, the pharma lab
Libbs counts on Active solutions for automation. The installation
includes Identification, Receive and Storage of raw material and
weighing materials.
The Project Manager, Rodrigo Correa, says the cooperation between
the companies (Libbs / Active) has been of most value to the accomplishment
of the project, that has Go live set for February, 2007.
The main benefits o the new system are:
1. Identification, Receive and Storage of raw material
• Location control with bar code, updating automatically the
ERP, through bar code and wireless;
• Dynamic storage;
• Processes and resources optimizing through automation of
information flow (on-line via wireless);
• Logistical storage management;
• Elimination of Physical Quarantine;
• Elimination of Yellow and Green Labels;
• On-line stock information;
• High data security level for inventory, ensuring precision
in the collected information;
• Reducing paper, hand-written notes and typing.
2. Weighing
• Security in the weighing area by electronic confirmation
of the raw material to be divided;
• Blocking of rejected, expired or conditionally liberated
batches;
• On-line weighing monitoring;
• Controlling and registering of rooms cleaning;
• Scheduling and prioritization of weighing by room;
• Elimination of paper flow, hand-written notes and manual
data entry;
• Automatic reduction of raw material (write-off) from ERP
stock/batch consumed and allocation to the Production Order;
• FEFO automatic checking;

3. Packing and weighing areas attendance
• Checklists for the packing lines;
• Labeling of finished goods (shipping cases) with bar codes;
