Active WMS is successfully implemented in Aché

One more Active’s project has been completed successfully. This time it was with the pharmaceutical industry Aché.

With duration of six months, the implementation of WMS project began in August 2005, under the management of Tiago Cefas and Marcio Nunes, Active’s Project Managers, with two teams working at the same time, since the project was divided in two parts, raw materials and finished goods.

WMS project includes the control of movement and materials storage, both raw material, packing materials or finished goods, through a specific software integrated to BPCS, that uses bar code technology and wireless to maximize efficiency, security and productivity of the involved processes.

These are some of the benefits generated with WMS: Maximizing productivity in the processes of storage and care to internal and external customers; higher data precision, updated on-line in BPCS; eliminating hand-written notes and typing; meters of effectiveness and efficiency for processes; increasing productivity and simplifying the training of area’s employees (100% checks done by the system).
